William Miller's Polaroids

William Miller is a photojournalist out to show the world what he is capable of shooting with an old, semi broken Polaroid SX-70 that he picked up at a local flea market.

Miller claims that ever since his first use of the camera, it malfunctioned... Spitting out two polaroids at a time, producing blurry abstract images and such.

Miller fell in love with the results, and refused to return the camera and instead chose to treasure both the camera and the artworks that it popped out with every click!

The photographs are completely abstract yet dream like and completely hypnotising. It feels like you've taken acid and are watching some spectacular sun rise/ set in some kind of melting, Technicolor utopia.

My Mario

One of my favourite photographers going round, Peruvian born Mario Testino. Possibly one of the 21st centuries most acclaimed and influential fashion photographers - easy to see why!

Testino, whom is currently based in London is notorious worldwide for his fashion photography and direction. With major clientele such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Versace, D&G, Calvin Klein and Gucci under his belt, and that's only naming a few!

Galleries worldwide have featured his solo exhibitions and his pieces can be found in many collections all around the globe, from the National Portrait Gallery in London to the New York University Gallery.

His photography and art direction are second to none when you see the spreads in magazines, however it's his talent for capturing portraits that gets me every time, I guess it's that little bit easier when you are photographing beautiful people. However he has this knack of capturing moments that are off screen and have this 'snatched' kind of feel. It's this whole voyeuristic kind of thing that fascinates people with celebrities I guess, and Testino has it down pat, in this highly contrasted, beautiful yet stunningly elegant kind of way.

His signature black and white, highly contrasting photographs are simply stunning and I think it's pretty self explanatory why this man is still in such high demand to this very day!

I can't even say how difficult I found it to select only a few images to add here, so I went a bit Testino crazy, I partly blame the devilishly good looking Ryan Gosling GQ advertorial ones!

We've all got a soft spot for Miss Monroe

“Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.”
- Marilyn Monroe

Is there anyone out there that doesn't love Marilyn, even if only a little bit?

My new favourite thing!

I stumbled across this website randomly, and I am so glad I did!
If you like things clean and orderly, much like I do - then this website will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Things organized neatly is a tumblr, curated by Indianapolis design student Austen Radcliffe. It is an archive of images of 'things organized neatly'.

Now i'm not OCD and Radcliffe denies being OCD too, but there is something oh so pleasurable about the  order and organization of random items whether it be a flower pulled apart and laid out (yes that means every petal painstakingly removed & then organized!) or simply laying out your outfit for the day along with accessories.

Check out some of these fab images i've found on his tumblr.
And of course head on over to thingsorganizedneatly.tumblr.com  and check it out for yourself, OCD or not I guarantee there will be at least one image you find amusing, if not amazing.

I Heart NY

I found these beautiful photo's of New York on a blog somewhere ages ago, but i've conveniently forgotten where they came from. Either way I think they are stunning.
I think they have a weird, eerie sense of calm about them, but I like that.

I think simple architecture is so underrated sometimes... how can you not see beauty in these?

Happy viewing!
